The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) and Métis Employment & Training (MET), in partnership with Commissionaires Manitoba, are offering a comprehensive Security Guard Certification Training program to eligible Red River Métis Citizens.
Taking place over 1 week, this intensive course provides the necessary knowledge and skills to become a licensed security guard in Manitoba. Best of all, all course costs are covered by MET for eligible Red River Métis Citizens, including fees for criminal record checks.
Course Details:
- 📅 Start Date: October 1, 2024
- 📍 Location: Commissionaires Manitoba, 870 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB
- ⏰ Time: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Daily)

- Comprehensive Curriculum covering essential topics including Patrol Function, Control Procedures, Incident Response, Traffic Control, Fire Prevention & Response, Bomb Threats, and more.

Eligibility:
- Be an unemployed or underemployed Red River Métis Citizen aged 18+
- Provide proof of Red River Métis Citizenship (MMF Citizenship number)
- Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Have satisfactory Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Checks
- Commit to 100% attendance during the program
- Have completed a minimum of Grade 9 or Mature student equivalent
- Be physically able to meet the job requirements
