We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Whiteshell, MB. Apply today and contribute to the efficient delivery of our operations.

What will you be doing!

  • Coordinating the workflow of the Department Manager/Line Director, including scheduling meetings and appointments.
  • Organizing meetings and events by booking rooms, issuing invitations, arranging catering, and coordinating logistics.
  • Preparing correspondence, meeting minutes, action items, and prioritizing commitments.
  • Tracking and following up on action items assigned to managers, directors, and division staff.
  • Acting as a liaison between leadership and division staff to support transparent and effective communication.
  • Reviewing, updating, and formatting documents, presentations, and spreadsheets to meet CNL standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate document management, formatting, storage, and numbering protocols.
  • Providing status updates and supporting documentation for scorecards, projects, and reporting activities.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential human resources and financial information with discretion.
  • Supporting HR processes, including performance management, succession planning, and promotion case preparation.
  • Assisting with budgeting activities, including forecasting and submissions to Finance.
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, office records, supplies, service requests, and expense reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Education
    • Secondary School Diploma
    • Post-secondary training in Office/Business Administration or a similar field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 7 years' experience in an administrative role, or the equivalent.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
    • Excellent written communication skills.
    • Superior organizational skills and dedication to completing projects on time.
    • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
    • Ability to have attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently without supervision.
    • Demonstrated skills in being "Team" oriented with demonstrated ability to work well with others and promote a positive work environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train and develop others.
    • Demonstrated tact, diplomacy, trust, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
    • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."

Working Conditions:

  • We have a compressed work week, which consists of a four-day work week and ten hours a day.
