Position Overview
Marrbeck is currently searching for a field coordinator for a two-year Construction Management Project they are currently delivering in Thompson, Manitoba. Preference will be given to candidates willing to relocate to Thompson for the duration of the project. At a minimum, the candidate must be able to work a rotation of one week in Thompson and one week in Winnipeg. Compensation will be provided for travel and live-out costs.
Reporting to the Director of Field Operations, the Project Coordinator is the team support for Marrbeck and is accountable for assigned projects during the construction phase.
Working independently and as part of a project team, the Project Coordinator is responsible for:
- Assisting with project scheduling
- Shop drawing coordination
- Tracking RFI's
- Pricing project changes
- Tracking safety requirements
- Assistance with jobsite quality management
- Some general labor duties to gain field experience such as but not limited to:
- Loading, unloading, and moving construction materials.
- Ensuring the worksite is kept clean, and clear of any hazards.
- Using power tools & measuring devices to complete basic carpentry tasks.
- Using basic power tools safely.
- Monitoring and recording work completed.
- All other general laborer duties as may be required.
The Project Coordinator receives direct supervision and assistance from Company Management regarding overall policy and delivery objectives.

Education, Experience & Skills:
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written are mandatory
- Knowledge of and experience in the construction industry
- Critical thinking and effective decision-making skills
- Experienced with MS Project, MS Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Experience as a Project Coordinator working for a General Contractor is an asset
- Attention to detail
