Is participant registration still open?
All participant spaces are now filled. Please see the participant information above. If you have already submitted a registration, please watch your email for confirmation from MET.
Who is the conference for?
Opening Doors is for Red River Métis Citizens who are students, looking for work, already employed, returning to the workforce, or considering a career change.
Do I need to be ready to apply for a job?
No. The conference offers opportunities to explore career options, learn about training, and find out what different roles require. All participant spaces for this year's conference have now been filled.
I already submitted a registration. Is my attendance confirmed?
No. MET reviews every registration, and attendance is subject to approval and available space. If your registration is approved, you will receive a confirmation by email.
Can I request travel or accommodation support?
If you have already registered and have questions about travel or accommodation support, contact Rilee Prychun at Rilee [dot] prychun [at] mmf [dot] mb [dot] ca. Support is for eligible Red River Métis attendees who live beyond 100 kilometres from Winnipeg, MB and is subject to MET approval and availability. Attendance approval and travel-support approval are separate.
